From the begining avro was only for windows, there was no service for linux users... But,now,from yesterday, avro starts its journey at ubuntu (& at mint 7)...
At bangladesh many people write bangla and few people could not switch to linux from windows as bangla typing required memorisation of new key layout!
But now... Ubuntu use become more and more easy as avro has started journey at ubuntu!!
