Facebook from Grameenphone : Updating facebook by SMS

I didn't know about the service from the beginning, but yesterday when I caome to know that banglalink has introduced this facebook sms service, I gave an status at facebook, and some of my friends informed about the GP facebook sms services.

So, I tried it and become successful!!

Its a great step for country like Bangladesh – where Internet penetration is very low but mobile phone covers a wide network, I know many people who use facebook but don't have internet enabled set or don't use internet from their cell phones, so SMS is a great option/doorway for them!!

Now... come to the features .. what to do....?

Its very simple – type fb and send sms to 2555

at the return message you will get a code and a link, if you are from a net enabled mobile phone, then its better you follow the link and give your mail add and password if you aren't previously logged it via mobile net!!

if you aren't from any net enabled device, then go to facebook → account → Account settings → Mobile and give the confirmation code for the respective number.

Thats it!!

Now you can post your status via text sms from your number & interestingly get some notification (Message, Add request, Comment at photo) for free of cost!!!!

How to update status from GP via sms??

Type a sms starting by is and send to 2555

Even you can do other things via sms:

you can send message, post to friends wall, add friends, get friends cell number and so on....

My new device – netbook PC!!! - HP mini :)

life is changing _ now-a-days everyone need a portable device in this busy life, But I didn't own one before. More over I had some kinda thinking that I'll take one portable computer after myMBBS studies, so last year when I bought a new PC – I didn't take any portable one, I was waiting for my ending of MBBS studies.

And at last its over, so I decided to take a portable device for me.

Initially I was confused between Laptop and netbook PC – but ultimately I took my decision for Netbook PC.

Why netbook??

simple answer, its light , its small moreover user friendly_ & I'm taking it not because of performance basically I need it for maintaining my blog and social networking and recently I've taken a decision to have a personal blog on a specific topics... still working on it, when it'll be completed I'll let you know!!

ok – its a HP mini!!!

Processor – Intel Atom 1.83 GHz
RAM -1GB
System Type – 32 Bit Operating system

I took it from BCS Computer city at this(2010) 1^st September!!!

Its already one month I'm with it. And I'm happy with its performance.

I won't say its that fast, but not that slow as well, good for net browsing, social networking, blogging! More over its charge backup is nice, One day I used 4 and a half hours continuously and remaining charge was 52% - and at that time I used Net and watched one HD movies.

OK... I'm informing at my blog late – but I mentioned at my twitter at that day and also published a post at prothom alo blog (community bangla blog)....

Grameenphone Internet : GP prepaid unlimited internet is back

Grameen Phone Internet – OK, at least it can be said it’s the most widespread internet service in Bangladesh (though still lack 3^rd Generation – 3G services), but not bad regarding other services.

Initially they had only 1 service for prepaid internet – that was – p1 pay as you go…

Eventually they provided p2 (unlimited internet service) to prepaid which was initially present only at post paid services! Then GP came out with lots of different services like limited internet of 1GB & 3GB limit. Not only that they provided 1 day unlimited internet services and the recent addition is 15MB – mini pack internet service (Grameen Phone Internet: GP new mini internet package for prepaid!).

Beside these prepaid services they had unlimited night internet services for postpaid subscribers.

BUT!! After launching P5 & P6 they restricted the p2 (unlimited) service for prepaid users. So, if you are net freak, you had to move to post paid for proper internet services or move to Banglalink prepaid unlimited service which speed is not as good as GP!

And at last GP have understood the need of the subscribers of GP and restarted the unlimited service for prepaid again at 9-8-2010 .

That’s really great, as If you do a lots of things at internet – Net surfing, blogging, chatting, surfing at google earth, uploading lots of photos at facebook or twitter, online job - you can use this service – But remember about the fair usage policy of GP internet, if you are going to use P2P connection please read the GP agreements before using!

What to do – type p2 and send to 5000 and then confirm it by sending Y to same number.

Charge – Its better U recharge 1000Tk before doing process though it doesn’t require that much. (Exact money is 982.10Tk including VAT and 2 sms charge).

Location based tweet : How to share geotagged / location aware tweet at twitter via Nokia

Now a days, Twitter is giving more importance in location based tweet. And due to built in GPS services at Mobile phones it has become very easy. There are lots of Nokia application out there for this kind of geotagged tweet. But gravity and twibble is the popular ones.

How To Do::

1^st you have to change some setting at twitter :
Log in twitter -> settings -> account -> Mark the Add a location to your tweets
Now download gravity or twibble to your symbian Nokia device

Gravity GPS settings :

Start Gravity -> Options -> Tools -> GPS to clipboard (wait until the moving button at bottom become off)
-> now during writing tweet press the up button (in non touch phone) or press the GPS (touch phone) and wait until it become yellow or green.

Twibble GPS settings:

Start twibble -> refresh the time line (it happens automatically, if you don’t change the settings) -> menu -> Location -> Start GPS (Now wait until it get GPS connection) when it’ll get GPS connection it’ll show GPS at the topmost bar and during writing tweet the exact location is shown at top bar) -> tweet now it’ll be automatically Geotagged now)

How a geotagged tweet looks like::

It looks like normal tweet but there will be a location logo just below the tweet and when one will click the button it’ll start a mini Google map there and the location from where the tweet is been shared.

Simply, one geo tagged tweet can say lot more words than a non geotagged tweet!!

Nokia Geo-tagged Photo :: How to capture geo-tagged photos from Nokia phone

Geotag is the system by which your captured photo will bear the information of the location from which the photo is taken. The information will be present in the meta data of the photo.

Initially, to capture Geotagged photo minimum 2 devices (One camera or Camera mobile and one GPS receiver) were required. But now by using the newer mobile phones it has become very easier.

Most of the newer mobile devices have built in GPS receiver and with the help of this built in GPS receiver one can easily captured photo with geotagging!

Most of the new nokia mobile phones have built in GPS receiver, so its easily to capture geo tagged photo using these mobiles. And, if you have this kinda mobile, so why won't you share the GPS located photos at your twitter share or facebook share or directly at your facebook album, picasa album, flicker or panoramio???

Settings :

Go to 'Camera' of your Nokia mobile

Now go to 'Options'

scroll down to go to 'Settings'

Here you will find 'Record location' and go there

make it 'On'

Thats it, Now your Nokia mobile is capable to take Geotagged photo.

How to captured:

You have to be under open sky (not always required, but indoor photos take a long time to be Geotagged.

On the camera _ Now you will notice a 'Dish' logo / icon or a 'Tag' logo / icon at the bottom line of camera.

Initially it would have a cut marking over it (DISH) or a cut line (Tag)

Wait upto the mobile become Geo-tagged – When it will be geo tagged – the cut marking will go away.

Now, you can capture photo and that will be geotagged by itself.

Share these photos with geo location at facebook or twitter (using furtiv or mobypicture) or at flicker, picasa album or at OVI share!!

Twitter button :: wordpress.com :: tweet the blog

Wordpress.com is a very popular media for free blogging. You will get many facilities of famous wordpress.org application there. But not all the facilities!

You can't put any java scripts there. Can't edit the blog according to your need. Even you can't add the retweet button or facebook share or like button easily!

On the other side recently blogger.com provides share facilities in build to its new design. Or, if you use some other themes (which I do) you can add different types of share button at your blog including facebook like, facebook share, retweet button! I like the facilities of apture as well!

But I think in terms of blogging wordpress.com is more user friendly and lots of different blogging application for wordpress is present over internet!

Recently wordpress.com has added the service of twitter button. Its cool and interesting as it'll show the number of share at twitter media as well! Great addition!

Set up:
1. Log in to your wordpress.com

2. Go to your blog's dashboard

3. Go to 'extras'

4. Select the twitter button!

In my last post I wrote about furtiv, a nokia share online plug in to upload photo directly to your facebook account with the famous one click upload!
Yes, I use furtiv and I have furtiv settings at my nokia n82, but I mentioned I use another system for sharing photo via my nokia at online media!
Yes, its mobypicture.com!
Its the service by which I can upload photo directly to any online media _ social network _ facebook, microblog _ twitter, tumblr, blog _ blogger, wordpress and so on!
Hence I love mobypicture!
Have more than I facebook account, doesn't matter, mobypicture will upload at all those facebook accounts!

Mobypicture has its own site and you have your own account there!
Ya, mobypicture is more than a plug in for nokia share online, rather it itself is a photo sharing site from your mobile! And you have to resister at this site using your e mail or you can use your existing twitter account for log in!
Geotag:
Geotagging system of mobypicture is really awesome, they'll give you a mobymap for your geotagged photos like google map, where you can watch your location from where you took the photos!
It is one of the greatest feature of mobypicture!
Set up: (via twitter)
1. Go to www.mobypicture.com or m.mobypicture.com
2. Log in via your twitter account!
3. Now at your account page you'll notice one mail at right column (your id.4 digits@mobypicture.com) note these 4 digits as this 4 digits will required for your nokia share online setup!
4. Setup your facebook. Services-> +facebook -> authentication!
5.you can edit the service as it can post both status upload and photo to mobypicture.com album!
6. Now, go to 'our apps' and select nokia.
7. Download the plug in from post using share online (if you download at your mobile, then install it, if you download at your pc, then transfer it to mobile and install it)
8. After installation go to share online of your mobile
9. Go to Mobypicture.com and give your username and 4 digits pin (remember, this pin isn't your password,its the pin which was give in those mail address I mentioned before)
10. Done, now start uploading photos on the go via nokia share online!

How to geotag your photos, its easy!
Go to camera, options, settings, make the record location on!
Now wait for the dish icon change :)
Both furtiv and mobypicture is great solution for facebook photo upload!
But as I've said mobypicture.com is much more featureable that furtiv.

I love the in built geo tag feature of nokia as I can say from where I've captured this photo! Its really cool and informative, even one photo can speak a story more specifically when it is tagged with geo location!

Set up:
1. Go to furtiv.mobi from your mobile browser
2. Select facebook plug-in
3. Activate your facebook plug in via share online
4. Done! Now start uploading on the go! :-)

Sad but true, facebook doesn't provide this function, but 3rd party applications can easily do it for you and furtiv is concerned about geo location sharing!

What to do?
Nothing complicated!
if your photos are geotaged then furtiv itself will give a map link beside the name of the photo mentioning the exact geo location of the photo!

There are some other popular plug-ins beside furtiv! Furtiv is cool, but I personally use another plug in! And email uploadar is great for any kind of java based phones!
I'll discuss about thoses ones later! Now set up furtiv and share photo on the go!

Cricket – yes its the most popular sports in this region, and in terms of International success, Cricket is the most successful sports in comparison with other sports. If you think the next one - no doubt its Football.

But this time success come from Golf. Siddikur Rahman became the first Bangladeshi golfer to win on the Asian Tour when he triumphed in a play-off at the Brunei Open on 1st August.

Congratulation Siddikur Rahman, its a great achievement for Bangladesh. We trust, now Golf will become popular in Bangladesh.

He said to the tour web site :

“It is very exciting. I’m the first Bangladeshi to play on the Asian Tour and in the two years that I’m on Tour, I have finally won a tournament. I hope to inspire more people to take up the game of golf in Bangladesh. This is a good victory for me and my country.”

Malaria, the deadly diseases, which still causes a large number of death specially in the Africa and South Asia region. Lots of procedures have been taken to eliminate this deadly diseases at different times in different location of the world... but – you know the result – it still goes on.

Initially the prevention step was using anti Mosquito chemical agents:

Initially to produce this anti mosquito propellant lots of CFC was used in a large area which directly causes serious harm in terms of Global Warming. Banglalink is the second largest mobile company in Bangladesh following Grameenphone. Though grameenphone is the pioneer mobile company for Mobile internet in Bangladesh, now a days Banglalink is giving importance in its internet service.

But, where Grameen phone and robi (aktel) have different packages for mobile internet , there Banglalink has only 2 packages and those are call package specific!

# Packages of Banglalink pre paid internet :

P1 : on the go package
It costs 0.02tk per kb and it doesn't require and monthly bundle money.
You can use it in any packages of Banglalink prepaid - Desh, ek desh, ek desh ek rate, rongdhonu, desh rang!
How to activate : write P1 & send to 3343

P2 : unlimited internet for 15 days!
Charge - 350tk/15 days
How to activate : write P2 & send to 3343
But the most irritating matter is, you can't use it in any prepaid call package, only desh users can use this!
How funny! For me 'ek desh ek rate' package suites me, but if I want to use unlimited net, then I have to convert to the tradition old call rate package!
But, GP doesn't have these kinda problems, one can use any prepaid packages in any call rate plan - Shohoj, Bondhu, Apon!
What ever, there's no option for checking usage limit as Banglalink doesn't have any data limited service for prepaid!

Coverage:
You'll get Banglalink mobile internet where they've their mobile network.
But you'll get EDGE service only at large cities!

Facebook Bangladesh :: facebook is Reopened in Bangladesh!

Facebook is the most popular social networking online media in Bangladesh! Almost 9lacks of people use facebook from Bangladesh.

In 29th May evening, suddenly we couldn't able to use facebook from pc! 1st thought, may be some net speed problem! But after few hours it became clear to us by the daily star online and bdnews24.com - facebook was banned in Bangladesh!

It was a massive shocking news to all of Bangladeshi net users! Initially it wasn't clear to us, whats the actual cause behind it, but then we understand, its because of some edited images of our national political leaders and due to some religious causes. one young man named Mahbub Alam Rodin who had 9 facebook accounts with different names and different addresses, was arrested due to making those images and spreading publicly at facebook.

BUT PEOPLE USED FACEBOOK !
hmmm, people used facebook by using proxy servers and by opera mini application from mobile!

What ever, most of the internet users stand against this decision and write in different media like blog , twitter and different forums.
But, everyone also wanted a secure facebook so that none can do this type of occurence and make a bad impression of our country internationaly!

What ever, main fact was that the ban was temporary and at yesterday mid night 12am 6th june govt reopened the most popular social networking website in Bangladesh after removing those illegal links from facebook.

Now we should maintain some general rules in public online media as we maintain in real life, we should be concern of our morality and we shouldn't forget our own culture in internet media!

More over, we should understand that, in online social media we everyone is the representative of our country.

Hope, we will not experience any kind of BAN over online social media in future.

Facebook is the most popular social networking website. Initially it can be used from PC only. But after achieving the heavy popularity it started its mobile site. Lots of people sharing their thoughts, photos, informations, videos from on the go to facebook and these websites are playing an important role in these field.

It started from mobile facebook. The address is m.facebook.com . You can maintain most of your facebook activities from this site starting from status update to like of any photo, commenting any photo or external link … in simple wards – you can maintain most of your important works in facebook.

You can use it in any mobile having wap or web support – Personally I use it in opera mini 5.

Touch facebook

Its the site – touch.facebook.com made for the new touch screen mobile phones. This site is nice when you use facebook from touch phones. It has all the services which is present in the mobile facebook, just its view is different and specific for touch enabled phone.

You can use it in any touch screen mobile with wap or web support – I liked touch opera mini in Nokia 5800 (which I used from womworld nokia)

Zero facebook

0.facebook.com is the new mobile website for facebook where you can use facebook without any cost – absolutely free. Means you don't have to pay your service provider to update your status or to comment any link or status or to like them. Its similar to the normal mobile faacebook just it doesn't have the photo service, you can't watch any photo from this site. You'll get more information from here.

You can use it in any mobile having wap or web support – But All countries don't have this service – Bangladesh lacks this service – check out this post!!

Facebook sms

You can update your sms directly by sending sms. Its a operator specific option, you can ask your operator for this service.

You can use it in any mobile even without wap or web support – But All countries don't have this service – Bangladesh lacks this service still now :-@

There are some other services specific to mobile brand and model.

For iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, Sony erricson, Samsung there are different services from facebook.

Nokia – there are specific service for E71 – E72 – E63 ( you can get it from Ovi store for free )

in touch phones – you can install Nokia messenging beta for updating ( you can get it from Ovi store for free )

Facebook Breaking News in Bangladesh :: facebook is still blocked in Bangladesh

Facebook is still banned in Bangladesh. None can use it from computer or from mobile using inbuilt mobile browser!
Yesterday in my last post I wrote about the causes of blocking facebook from various online and news media. Today same news is come out in every print media. One facebook user named Mahbub Alam Rodin is arrested by RAB due to illegal activities against popular leader of Bangladesh. And prothom alo website also mentioned other cause of some anti religious facebook group.
What ever, the main point is its TEMPORARY! So, hope for the shortest period of banning!
Some can still use facebook from Bangladesh::
Yes, easily anyone can use facebook from opera mini browser as it uses some European IP address itself.
Some people is using proxy server for using facebook in computer.

Come on, approx 8 lac of users use facebook from Bangladesh and most of the users don't know this kinda technology to use facebook from Bangladesh. And when the facebook is banned most of the users aren't able to use it from Bangladesh.
Some has shifted to twitter but twitter is more a microblogging site than a social network. Moreover twitter is not as popular as facebook in Bangladesh.
Better we wait for the unban of facebook soon and hope all those illegal activities will be deleted from facebook soon.

Facebook BREAKING NEWS ::: facebook is Banned in Bangladesh

Yes :-( Facebook is banned in Bangladesh. Sad news for us. But BTRC says its temporary (according to the daily star). I can't access facebook from my pc from this evening. Suddenly facebook website was not opening. I thought may be some net problem or some net speed problem, but few times ago I got information from the daily star and bdnews24.

Why?
Not clear for me. But may be some anti political activities by some facebook users. One facabook user is arrested by Rapid Action Bettelion 10 this morning due to some illegal anti political activities. (personaly I don't know about it, but daily star says due to some cartoons of our famous leaders - know nothing about it)

Some people says, they can still use facebook from Mobile using opera mini!
Yes, because opera mini usages different IP address by itself. (there may be some other cause, but I think its the main cause! )

Suddenly twitter is becoming famous ::
Yes, due to ban of facebook, Bangladeshi social networking users are moving towards twitter. I gave my last status as ' I'm available in twitter as @n_h_sarja '

Facebook is the most popular social networking website in Bangladesh and according to alexa facebook is the 2nd popular website in Bangladesh. Even its more popular than some very popular website like yahoo.com and google.com.bd .

But facebook do not give proper importance to Bangladesh in terms of their mobile services.

It was started from facebook sms service, most of the south Asian countries have the chance to update their facebook status by sending sms; they get their notification directly to their mobile by sms, but this service is not available in Bangladesh.

Its the 1^st time when the red and green flag is flying in the top most area of the world. Its by the young man Musa Ibrahim, he has scaled Mount everest for the 1^st time as a Bangladeshi. He haven't returned to Bangladesh yet, The whole Bangladesh is waiting for the Hero.

All the people of every sector of Bangladesh is congratulating this hero. Though there is a little controversy present in some community blogs of Bangladesh, but all will be normal after the International recognition of this activity and according to the national media, the international recognition need one week time.

They didn't pass a regular childhood, rather they pass their childhood in refugee camp, they grown up in a was torn country!

This is the the actual scenario behind the Afghanistan Cricket Team!

But their hard work and love have overcome all these barriers. They have proved themselves as an 'International Standard Cricket Team'

I salute all the Cricket Players of Afghan Cricket Team as they are representing a peaceful Afghanistan even after a post war condition. They are making Afghanistan united and leading to a peaceful condition.

Today the whole world will watch them - the warriors with cricket skill 1st ever in any international standard tournament. Today they'll play against India as their 1st group match.

Social networking is getting importance

Initially it was only to maintain connection with friends and family, but now most of the online things is related with this social networking web site, from blog post to academic work each and everything is now present in there social networking websites.

Recently I've heard that microsoft is going to add their document writing software with facebook as facebook doc so that anyone can write and read document file directly from facebook.

Twitter is going straight forward where facebook is becoming more and more complex. Its true that simplicity is the power of twitter and as both social networking and microblogging site it's becoming more important for bloggers as privacy isn't much important for twitter.

Come on to the center, I'm not writing any review of facebook and twitter, but these social networking sites getting more and more importance to the people and to the developers as well.

Now a days people like to share on the go, in every media facebook, twitter, blog!

Recently in new release version of ubuntu, ubuntu 10.04 they have developed an in build social networking application where one can easily maintain all his important social networking websites.

But its unusual that you'll always carry a laptop or netbook for sharing in social networks, rather cell phones are more important in these field to share in social networks even in between a hectic schedule.

Black berry, iphone, android had this kind of facility from before. Now, Nokia has come out with these services with their c3 c6 and e5 handsets. All these sets have inbuild social networking facility with location sharing and direct photo and video unloading facility.

Its just the begining of the social networking, as It has becoming more and more transparent day by day and sharing is becoming more and more easier with these mobile phones.

after using wifi for the 1st time in Bangladesh.

Its the 1st time I have used wifi in Bangladesh. But not the 1st time I detected wifi network from my wifi device -Nokia N82.

I get wifi network even at our roof, but sometimes the reception is poor enough to establish the connection, sometimes its connected but no data transfers took place.

For me wifi has become nothing but to get the network only. I got wifi network even in my medical college, but that was a protected network.

Different of wifi networks are available in gulshan 1 and 2 but i couldn't get connection with those even to the public wifi s.

You've get it, my wifi history isn't very good. In the starting of this weak I've gone to Grameenphone customer care of Gulshan 1 to take sim card of my mom which was lost in the previous day.

Grameenphone customer care was busy as always. I've understood I've to wait for 10 - 15 minutes. So, decided to update the status in facebook and to tweet about some topics.

But, before doing that, I checked the wifi network again and my Nokia recognised 3 wifi network, one of that was protected. I selected one open network, and for the 1st time that was working.

Logged in to twitter through my mobile browser and tweeted about wifi using. 1st I thought, it may be any kinda service of grameenphone customer care, but one of my friend of twitter made it clear, I wasn't any service of grameenphone, rather it was the free wifi network of coffee world.

So, I enjoyed a lot at the waiting time with my 1st ever active wifi usage, and the speed was fast as well.

Hope, wifi will be much popular in Bangladesh in near future. :-)

Yes! It’s Malaria, which infects more than 500 million people per year and kills more than 1 million. Just imagine - approximately half of the world's population is at risk of malaria. Now we all have to come forward and become united to fight against it.

Destiny NCL T20 champion : Rajshahi Rangers :-)

Congratulation to Rajshahi Rangers as the champion of 1st season of Destiny NCL T20.

Yes, previously I said my hope, excitement and disappointment about this National Cricket League T20, Bangladesh. But, you know its the 1st season of NCL. And I'll say as the 1st season its successful. It was full of drama as Dhaka Dynamites defeated at semi final who was unbeaten previously throughout the series.
Its only one story, NCL was full of these kinda twists.

And todays match - final match was awesome, we have seen some great shots and fielding in this match and it was a tight game as well!

But, at last Khaled Masud Pilot's team -Rajshahi Rangers win the battle!
They played good cricket in every spectrum, so they deserved it.

Kings of Khulna, the runner up team, also played well, but some bad decision of their captain and few bad fieldings they lost the match.

Rajshahi Rangers crossed this score by 20 over with 6 wickets in hand!

Rajshahi Rangers won the final match by 6 wickets.

Special Thanks goes to ATN Bangla , who telecasted all the matched live.

And in final match stadium was full of people, who enjoyed the game, the other entertainment of game as well like light show and live concert but cricket was the center of all these things!

After the match BCB chairman said their plan of continuing NCL, he said next season of NCL will be much better than this one.

Yes, full Bangladesh enjoyed this NCL, though it didn't get much international attention (ongoing IPL is one of the cause of this) . But I think we will get some more interesting NCL in next season.

Thanks to BCB to organise this kind of tournament and thanks to all the sponsors to promote this tournament.

Grameenphone, which is the best mobile company in Bangladesh in terms of internet use, is coming out with more and more interesting prepaid internet facility, many of which is bounded with data limit. Its good in terms of fair usage policy.

Yesterday I wrote about their latest prepaid mini internet package, which is quiet interesting and useful.
Several other Packages have these data limit system. For example, P4 P5 P6 P7 . Limit is in your hand.
They have made it easy to check data usage and to know the remaining data.
You have to dial *566*10# from your phone and GP will give all information related your remaining data limit!
Its really useful!

But to check the P7 data limit, its different!!
You have to dial *566*1# to know your remaining data limit.

Grameen Phone Internet: GP new mini internet package for prepaid!

Grameenphone provides the best mobile internet service in Bangladesh. Grameenphone has different internet packages for both pre paid and post paid users.

Internet speed of Grameenphone is better than other mobile operators in Bangladesh, though it doesn't support 3G services yet. Still now we have to be satisfied with EDGE internet as it is the best mobile internet in Bangladesh.

As I've said before, Grameenphone has different internet packages in their language they says these as Package1 to 6.

Now they have come out with new package for prepaid users, named as P7 or you can say it as mini internet package!

At first I thought its not very useful package for pre paid users, but Today when I thought deeply I noticed, I was wrong. Actually its nice for prepaid users, who use net only from mobile and not usage much net only regular facebook update with regular twitting along with regular mail check and some form of mobile browsing.

Hey I haven't said about the package yet!!!

P7:
Its a mini internet package where you can use Internet with 15MB limit for 29Tk with a validity period of 15 days. And you can use more than 1 package according to our use.

NCL T20 : Full of Excitement, Hope and Disappointment!

All these things are happening now is started by ICL - Indian Cricket League , but it was not authorized by the cricket board of India. So, it didn't find the success, rather all the players who played for them passed a very difficult time with their national cricket authority.

What ever, to counteract that event Indian Cricket Board came out with the most exciting cricket league, IPL , no need to explain about IPL, as almost everyone who understand cricket, know about this league.

Influenced by these events, PCL has come out, its the 1st T20 league of Bangladesh named Port City Cricket League. They came out with everything to make it Nationaly and Internationaly popular, but failed to do so even after their 2nd season in Sharjah.

After these events, BCB - Bangladesh Cricket Board has come out with NCL T20, which stands for National Cricket League T20.

Hey, it has all the elements to become really popular in Bangladesh as well in south asia.

6 teams are playing this event, according to 6 Divisions of Bangladesh, but the name of the teams has the effects of the most popular cricket league, IPL.

ATN BANGLA is telecasting these matches Live. There are many foreign players as well mainly from Pakistan (as IPL didn't take any player from Pakistan), and from other popular cricket playing nations.

Full of Excitement:

Yes, NCL T20 is full of excitement, as it has all the elements that require for this 'excitement'. It has all the national popular players, has many internationaly popular players, has media support from ATN BANGLA, has all the exiting events of T20, at last but not the least, has interesting name for every team ;-) .

Come on, what do you want more? People of Bangladesh are talking everywhere about this event, from road side tea stall to class room. Everyone is supporting different teams. Awesome!

'Full of Hope' :

Yes, NCL T20 is full of hope for the development in Bangladesh cricket. Its also a great support for those players who want to take cricket professionaly.

After this full of excitement and hope, now comes 'full of Disappointment' :

Sad but true, BCB didn't give proper attention to make it more popular both nationaly and internationaly or they didn't give many important thing importance!!
Starting from website, (hey, ncl doesn't have any official website) to fan pages everywhere there is disappointment and disappointment.

No need to say about twitter and facebook support, as they don't have their official website, how can I think about pages at social community websites?

Even the teams don't have their personal website and official twitter account. But here is a little differance, as I found fan pages for each and every team playing at ncl. And they says it's their official page. I don't know, even don't understand, if one team don't have their web page, how they can have their official facebook group.

Not only BCB, but also disappointments comes from cricinfo!

Cricinfo isn't covering NCL live, regarding their website its a very regular national event. They haven't mention the names of the them even, only mentioned the name of the region!

NCL T20, REALLY ITS FULL OF EXCITEMENT, HOPE AND DISAPPOINTMENT.

Hope, NCL will come out from these backward condition and one day will become really popular like other cricket leagues. :-)

Watched the Movie “Gohine Shobdo” (গহীনে শব্দ)

Suddenly we took the decision to watch a movie as our ophthalmology block was ended today. In Bashundhara Cineplex Transformer 2 and one bangla cinema was going on. Somehow most people voted to watch the bangla movie. Till then neither I knew the name of that movie nor the theme of that movie.

What ever, after reaching the Cineplex I came to know the name of the movie - “Gohine Shobdo” (গহীনে শব্দ) … and from the displaying poster of the hero and heroin I thought it would be a movie of typical bangla love story. At that time for me, movie wasn't important, we friends are watching movie together- it was more important for me!!!

after buying snacks and cold drinks entered the cinema hall and the movie started.....

the movie started with the most popular bangla festival “poleha Boishakh” mongol jatra. Then a regular love story between 2 students of CharuKola one of them is Niloy and other one is Swapna. They both were from a very different family financially. I found a clear line of difference between rich and poor family life style which is happening in our society.

Niloy came from a very rich and educated family, where Swapna came from an absolutely different family – her father was a street beggar. Their love story continued in as usual fashion but after knowing Swapna's identity Niloy escaped from his society.....

The film ends with a song where an eminent singer arranges a concert for the beggars. The beggars circle around and move singing with lamps in their hands. The life cycle is complete.

Occasionally the life cycle is disturbed but it never stops. The human beings like Swapna restart a new life and once again the life cycle begins.

Now a days our Bangla movies are showing signs of development, hope by 2 – 3 years we will have some powerful movie director and their artistic work.

Music of this movie was nice specially the last one of singer Haider. I didn't expect anything good from the movie, but found it as a really interesting movie in the field of social differences and social struggle in society, specially the how the barrier of financial support works in case of one university student to find her identity as a Graduate or as a girl from a poor family!!!

Nice one. Good work by Mr. Khalid Mahmud Mithu and good movie by Impress Telefilm!

For more than 2 years I have been using Banglalink for my call and some sort of internet usage. Banglalink internet was not that bad, but suddenly for few days it is creating several problems specially in terms of internet usage.

Here comes the most funny character of the Banglalink internet, it connects with net at my parents room (beside my room) and gets a good net connection as well but strangely in my room it doesn't get connect with Banglalink internet!!!! its really strange, what ever, it was not possible to use this kind of net any more.

More over, in Bangladesh if anyone goes outside any big city he'll get GPRS connection in Banglalink, but in case of GrameenPhone one will get EDGE in most of the peripheral area in my country.

Not only that, but also GP has different internet packages for prepaid and it can be used in any prepaid package. But in banglalink, :-S only one package and it must be used in a fixed call rate (desh). Its very uncomfortable for anyone to use this kind of services.

So, using GrameenPhone for both net usage and call services.

Review of Banglalink Internet speed!

As we don't have 3G service in our country, so for mobile browsing we have to rely on EDGE.
Now-a-days most of our mobile subscribers are providing EDGE service. In my last post I compared between GP & Banglalink internet.

In my previous post “using Banglalink Internet” I wrote about Banglalink speed, then someone of my junior colleagues said about his Banglalink speed which is about 28kbps (where I get 15-16kbps).

Yes It can happen, as these mobile internet services are based on location, data usage by other people under same BTS, distance fro BTS, obstruction from BTS.... so, I have checked my Banglalink internet speed again from speedtest.net!

But, its almost same for me, I'm getting average 15-16kbps with lots of fluctuation.
Here is the speedtest result.

Don't know when we will able to use 3G in Bangladesh. Sad but true most of the south Asian countries have this service but we don't.

Banglalink pre-paid Internet vs Grameen phone pre-paid internet!

Banglalink Internet, initially it was only present in post paid connection, but, for about one year its present both in pre paid and post paid connection.

As a pre paid Banglalink subscriber, I use unlimited Banglalink pre paid connection.

Grameen phone is the pioneer in mobile internet in Bangladesh. They provide various types prepaid internet service.

But, now both company provide average internet service, here I'm comparing between these two mobile internet service provider.

Here is the comparison between Grameen phone prepaid internet & Banglalink prepaid internet:

1. 'unlimited internet' :

Grameen phone doesn't have this service, if you are someone who have to go for lots of download, who has a rapid share account - obviously he can't go for 3GB limited internet.

Here, Banglalink has the solution - they provide unlimited internet in prepaid connection.

2. 'Value':

Where Postpaid grameen phone value is 850tk monthly, there banglalink provides this service for 650tk monthly.
Here, using banglalink is better than grameen phone.

3. 'limited internet service':

If you are some one who doesn't go for lots of download, but, you have to browse a lot and always need internet where ever you go and you don't want to give lots of money for internet. Then, you have to go for limited internet service.

Here is no choice for you, as this service is present only in grameen phone prepaid internet. You can you 1gb or 3gb according to your need. But, if you use banglalink, you can not go for that kind of service.

*but one thing to remember*
Value of 3gb limited internet is more than Banglalink's unlimited one!

4. 'speed':

Hey, everyone knows about it, grameen phone is better than banglalink in this field. But, banglalink isn't bad as well. You can read my previous blog regardind banglalink internet.

5. 'freedom of selecting call rate plan':

Grameen phone provides this service, but banglalink doesn't. You must be a desh subscriber to use it!

But, Facebook users don’t get those chances. For many days I was thinking about making a facebook page for my blog, but somehow I delayed. But today I have made it, now at the middle column just below the ‘About’ is the facebook fan box and at the right column just below my flag, there’s Google’s inbuilt ‘follow’ options.

Hope it will help my followers to get blog posts more easily.

'Aktel' has become 'Robi'

The 3rd largest mobile company of bangladesh Aktel, which was initially backed by a TM company ltd is then sold to axiata but was going with its own previous name aktel, has now changed its name and logo. From Aktel it has become Robi.
Robi has different pre paid and post paid call rate and various pre paid and post paid internet services.
Hope, it'll come out with different new effective services, specially the most said 3G.
Certainly Bangladesh mobile market has come out with different quick changes, starting from grameen phone's new call rate, then same kind of offer from Banglalink and now a new look of Aktel as Robi. And everyone is waiting for the next big change when warid will become Airtel Bangla. Everyone is expecting some new better services from the new Airtel and Robi in terms of call rate and internet.

'blogging on the go'- I love the theme, sharing where ever you are, what ever you are doing. And I think, its the most important feature of sharing.

'blogging on the go' gives you the independence of share as quick as possible. Or sharing at the time of any occurence.

One can easily understand the usefulness of sharing on the go by the popularity of twitter mobile applications and by tweeting on the go!

In my previous blog, I said about mobile features of wordpress. It has a mobile site to blog from your mobile device, which is very interesting in terms of blogging on the go.

But, as I've stucked with my blogspot site, so I was finding some easy way to share at my blog. As for mobile blogging I used opera mini or sometimes opera mobile, its not bad but not very user friendly as like wordpress mobile site.

Then yesterday I activated my blogspot mailing service, so that I can post directly from mobile.

For regular internet use I prefer mobile internet connection. And I am using this internet service from the beginning of mobile internet in my country (Bangladesh). Initially I used Grameenphone internet, it’s the most popular mobile service provider in Bangladesh, supported by telenor. Their internet service is better than others. But sometimes the service fall down may be because of pressure of higher number of mobile usage under same BTS.

Whatever, coming to the center of today’s topic, it’s about Banglalink internet.

Banglalink is the second largest mobile service provider in Bangladesh which is supported by ORASCOM Telecom Ltd. I am a Banglalink subscriber for mobile usage, though normally I use Grameenphone for internet use. But this time I have changed to Banglalink, because its not easy to use 2 mobile sets always – one for talking, other for internet use.

Moreover, I get some benefit here, which are not present in GP internet.

I get unlimited package in pre paid, GP doesn’t provide this service.

It’s cheaper than GP internet.

Now I have checked the speed from speed test.

Check it out,

Not good, but not bad as well. If you think its Bangladesh and we do not have any 3G service provider yet.

Huh, bangladesh has lost the second test!

Actually our team played well this time from the begining of the test match (talking about 2nd beximco test match between bangladesh and england!). At 1st and 2nd day bangladesh was in the dominating side, but 3rd day was the crucial one. The match become equal in position. 1st session of day 4 was very very important and england did better there. England managed to take a lead of 95 runs, though this inings several umpire decisions went against bangladesh! What ever, england managed those lead. Then bangladesh started their 2nd inings well but, could not continue smoothly. Tamim's half century and then few 20 and 30s were enough to make 172 at the end of 4th day, but for this score they lost 6 valuable wickets! At the end of the day there were Shakib Al Hasan(captain and best alroundar) & Shafiqul (as night watch man)... Shakib takes the responsibility at the last day to bring bangladesh to a score so that they can fight back. He also scored a half century, sad but true I cann't say century. Cause he was 4 runs away from that! What ever, bangladesh throw a 209 runs challenge to england to win!

After that, we expected some excitement, some tension.... Some interesting thing, or at least we wanted a draw!

But with his 12th test century, A cook (captain of england side) secures a 9 wickets test victory!

What ever, at least draw would a better result for our side!

But, in this match Bangladesh has proved their development in all the sectors of test cricket, but lots a ways to go.

Good luck Bangladesh cricket team! What ever the result, we all enjoyed the match upto the last our of the game. Golden time is waiting for you in near future!

I have handed over nokia 5800 to DHL

huh.....

At last the period is over, they said I was a period of 2 weeks... (but for me highly 2 days)!
as you know, womworld nokia send me nokia 5800 for 2 weeks trial usage, The period was ended yesterday and I got mail from womworld. Then I contacted with DHL Bangladesh and handed over the device.

Felt bad when I was packing the device for returning. What ever Its the process and I have to go through that. Now missing the net browsing of 3.2 inch touch screen.

I felt, The device is really awesome for net browsing. What ever now my N82 is back in action.

In near future, I will right some more blogs regarding nokia 5800 usage and a comparison with N82.

Scratchpad for nokia 5800 ....

Before getting nokia 5800 in hand from womworld, I wrote about scratchpad. What a software!! Wow, any one can replace a pen and noteboke with nokia touch screen phone having scratchpad.

First I am explaining about scratchpad:
Its a java based touch enabled application free of cost which is a 3rd party application made for writing by stulus in any nokia touch enabled phone. The concept is great and the build and features of the software is great as well.

All those I thought before getting the device from womworld nokia. Sad but true I did not find this application that effective. Some times it can not recognise the touch of the stylus, some times iys just very slow. It would be a great tool for the touch enabled devices, if the developer of scratchpad develops it and make it more touch friendly and sensitive.

I want to mention that nokia's own handwriting recognition tool is adequately touch sensitive and fast, if scratchpad can be made this level of touch sensitive thats enough from an users point of view.

Hope we will get this kind of innovative touch softwares from nokia developers in near future.

Yes, at last I have started a new blog about ECG info named ECG blog. Here I am going to share basic ECG knowledge with some pathological condition of heart and ECG.

I think as ECG is widely used in world for general investigation and as a cardiac specific investigation, so people must have some basic knowledge about this. And medical students must have adequate knowledge about this.

Time with friends and nokia 5800...

Already you have known, I have got nokia 5800 from wom world for 2 weeks trial usage.

I have passed a lot of time with this interesting device. Really its a nice device, today I bring it to my medical institute and have passed a very interesting time with friends by sharing the experience of nokia 5800.

Now come to the center of the blog, what people are talking about the device??!!

I have talked about the writing tools, games, video, net browsing and bloging.

Starting from the writing tools, I get a diffarent types of comments from diffarent ones,
1.alphanumeric: Interestinly most of my friends did not like the alphanumeric one, may be due to their regular usage and now people do not want to press twice or more for any letter. So form our conversation, alphanumeric got almost 0!

2. Full qwerty: most of my net freak friends liked it very much. Not only them, I myself like it the most for texting and now using this tool for texting. One of my friends gave this writing tool a better complement ss it is better tool for texting than the qwert key pad ones, as its key areanis more than those and it requares a very little presure. For me, full marks goes to this tool.

3. Mini qwerty: none showed any extra interest for this tool. I got, ok, fine, not bad kinda comments from them for this tool. Not get a better number for this!

4. Here comes the last one (but not the least), its handwriting, for me which is nice but not that good like others. But I got some diffarent kinda comment from diffarent one, surprisingly most of them just liked it very much!! May be they didi it as the most innovative and interesting tool for touch device. It getd almost a 75% number.

The next topic is games...
Not very diffarent comment from diffarent one. Almost same, they all liked the games specially the motion games more than touch one. They liked touch games as well. But everyone liked the motion based rscing games the most. (I also like it the most).

Now about video, everyone liked the vedio quality and they all said this linda touch devices are going to be the next media center not only for music but also for video. It supports mp4 formet and any blue ray or dvd when convert to this form really run nice in this device.

Here comes the next topic net browsing and the last topic blogging!

Everyone liked net browsing from here, they liked all the formets nokia original one, opera mini and opera mobile. But I personaly like opera mobile here, a complete net browser from mobile.

Though none of my those friends were blogers, but all day said it is ra very bloging user friendly device.

Now come to the main features, hows the touch interface (Im talking about touch interfase, not about the touch based symbian operating system), here most of the people did not like the device, as it is not very sensitive for pulp of the finger, rather, tip of the nail is much morw sensitive. My opinion is diffarent, with my 8 - 10 days usage I found it nice. Spme of my friends specially i phone users did not like the touch interfasen at all.

Lastly we played with the camera, no doubt the 3.2 mega pixel camera is not the best for a this quality phone, they said, even the 2 mega pixel n series devices produce better photo than this. Everyone were saying their hope for a better camera in nokias latest touch device x6.

With all the features puting in a line, Its a really ppwerful device aut has some lackings, if it would overcome those lackings, It would be the most ppwerful one among market.....

Next generation blogging devices....

Theres no question about the popularity of bloging, theres lots of community and personal blog in the blogsphere...

But, in this period of bloging evolution bloging devices have become changed and lots of new blogging friendly devices have come out....

Starting from thr begining of bloging when most of the blogers used desktop pc as their bloging device. Still now,its the main bloging device, as most of the people use internet from desktop.

But, now a days in market there are lots of new and interesting device for blogging.

Among the new devices most popular one is net book pc, its nothing but the portable edition of the desktop pc. No doubt, its the most effective device for bloging as because of its mobility power. Its light weight and can be use anywhere and easy to carry.

The main advantage is it provides all the facitilties which is given by desktop pc.

Obviously the other device and the mostly important device for bloging is the smart phones. Now a days it is becoming very popular as because of mobility and it even dosen't require a bag for carrying. And almost all smart phone devices have in build internet function and use the mobile internet service of survice provider.

The previous mobile devices are not so much user friendly but the new touch enabled devices are very user friendly as they have every kind of key psd starting from alphanumeric to qwerty along with handwriting system.
I think for bloging, qwerty is the most effective, its really very fast and no doubt one bloger will enjoy this kinda service as they write most of the times.

Not only that, mobile smart phones have diffarent 3rd party software for net browsing. Among them opera mini is the most popular but for diffarent kinda use and java support opera mobile is more interesting in the terms of usage.

Now I am typing from nokia 5800 and using the qwerty system and no doubt its a pleasure.

& I think in long run diffarent kind of mobile smsrt phones will be used as the major blog posing device.

ECG is nothing but the graphical presentation of electrical activity of heart which is not only important for the cardiologist but also for physicians. From the starting of my final year I am very interested with ECG.

I am more interested for clinical changes of ECG than the physiological changes (but everyone must have a very minimum physiological knowledge of the conductive system of heart)….

Now, I give demo to several of my year mate friends about ECG & I like it very much… Have a plan to share this information here at my blog so that everyone get a chance to understand the change easily….

One touch facebook photo upload from nokia!!!

Form many days Im searching some solution of easy photo sharing to facebook directly from nokia phone. I tried from my nokia n82 but failed, what I could do, I could upload by nokia mailing tools by attatching the photo.

But, It was not user friendly at all. Then recently I have got nokia 5800 from womworld nokia for 2 weeks use. Here I have got an experience of using facebook application made for touch screen nokia symbian devices. The application is really nice & user friendly. Its really so easy to upload photo to any album! Great application, I wrote about this application at my previous blog.

Yes, iys a solution for the touch based symbian nokia devices, but what about the other ones as like n82, n95 & the other n series and e series phones (symbian phones)??

Then I have got a great plug in for all these device (symbian devices having nokia share 3)! Its furtiv facebook plug in. Its a really awesome tools, may be its the best and no doubt the easiest one of all tools. I have used it from nokia n82 & from nokia 5800. Its nice from all these phones.

Whats the nice features for this tooll??

You can upload any photo just by one click after taking the photo.
It will act as an extention of nokia share.
no need to log in to any software, just post the photo directly from the camera or gallery application.

What you have to do?

Just go to ovi application, search as facebook plug in furtiv,
you will get it, its a very small plug in, download it to your mobile.
Then open the application, it will take some time and then press the activate button.

Thats it!!

Now set your account by logging in to facebook.

Now after taking photo or from gallery you can upload directly to facebook by using publish to web!!!

Its not necessary to say anything about facebook, rather its necessary to say how easily you can post photo to facebook directly from your phone!!!

Coming to the center of the topic.... Its all about facebook sharing from cell phone and specially about photo sharing on the go! I am a n82 user and I used lots of applications to upload photo directly to facebook... Used diffarent types of softwares.. Some were little use frendly too, but not as like as the nokia facebook software for touch screen phones. (Im using from nokia 5800).

Its really a pleasure... Just touch the camera button on the top of the left side of the screen...

You will get option from which you want to upload photo, from gellary or direcly after taking...

After selecting the photo, you can tag it and can upload to the desired album....

Its so fast and easy as well!!

Just now I have uploaded one test photo to my facebook account.

Hope in near future new type of features will be added with this application...

Writing in touch screen nokia....

Yesterday I received nokia 5800 from womworld nokia. It took few time for me to become used to with the phone. But yesterday I found it as a really great device with lots of function, but the main portion of functionality yet to come because lots lots field of development is present un the touch devices....

Now concentrate to the point of the subject which us the writing functionality of the device....

All of you know about the 4 writing system present at this phone.
1. alphanumeria
2.mini qwerty keyboard
3.handwriting
4.full qwerty keyboard

1st one is very popular with no doubt, but the question arises with the rest ones ... Which one is better, which one is more quicker and specially - about user friendlyness!

For me, full qwerty is the best one. If you are one, who texts a lot, update your social statuses regularly, think to share first at your blog, think to give a comment at your national news paper web site...... I think, you will like qwerty the most. As it is very easy and very fast. The keybord requires a very minimus press so your finger shall not have any exaution very soon (it occurs with me when i write anything lengthy at my n82).
the keys are large enough even for a person who have a large fingers.

It takes highly one day to get used to with this type of writing system.

For me, the second user friendly system is handwriting!
its really very interesting and if you practice the handwriting, its also a very good tools for writing...

For me, among these four, the last one is mini qwerty... You should have the stylus in your hand for writing.... Which is not possible always!

Now I am writing from the nokia 5800 in qwerty mood.... Really very easy and fast....

I think for bloggers this type of writing tools are great... Not only or bloggers, but also for the studnts....

I shall talk about the usefullness of this phone for students very soon....

Last month I got mail from womworld nokia regarding a trial use of nokia 5800 xm for 2 weeks, but due to my medicine exam I could not checked mail at that time, I responded 20-25 days later and they replaied after few days!

After that, I got mail from womworld and DHL regarding shiping process of the mobile set and today at DHL web service I have noticed about the arrival of the set at Dhaka!

Now Im just waiting for the further procedure and specialy for the 5800.... I have not used it yet (Im n82 user), but I think its a good device for net browsing, texting & mailing, blogging, music and for some other purposes as I said before like easy note taking(scratch pad), for movie.....

Now, simply waiting..... :)

Blogspot or wordpress? Mobile blogging..... :-?

For blogging blogspot is my choice, mainly because of a wide range of free given themes and 3rd party templates as well!

But, with free wordpress account it is not possible to use 3rd party templates, one have to choice among the given themes!!

But, theres one interesting thing which I noticed before, but did not feel the importance. Its nothing but the mobile blogging!

Yes! Mobile blogging!

Basicaly Im a mobile blogger and post most of my blogs from my mobile (nokia N82). For me sharing or blogging on the go, or in a small break is just great! Doesnt matter,how much busy you are! At the time of a small break with a hot tea or coffe you can give a effective post with your mobile!

Lets come to the main point! Mobile blogging express 2 side of blogging, not only publishing but also reading! When I directed to any blogspot link from my mobile,it brings the original page and takes more time and money(if anyone use 'pay as you go' net service)! But, if you go to any wordpress site from your phone (both phone browser & 3rd party browsers) it brings first to a wap enabled mobile site, whice saves time and money! If you have interest to visit the standard one, dosent matter, go to the 'standard' link!!

Now, what about posting facility??
In blogspot, for mobile blogging they say direct emailing! Sad But True, they do not have any mobile brower for easy mobile blogging!!
Here is the diffarence between blogspot and wordpress in terms of mobile blogging!!

Its very very easy, fast and cost effective to post in wordpress!
Just,go to m.wordpress.com from your mobile browses or opera mini or any 3rd party net browser for your mobile! Log in using your wordpress account. Then by selecting 'post' you can post easily to your blog!!

I think in terms of mobile blogging wordpress is the winner!!!

I have a wordpress (sarja's wordpress) blog for few months but have not used yet!! But, now I planning to go with that one ( nhsarja.wordpress.com ) and I'll continue my blogspot as well!

For any medical student its a pleasure to assist any Operation!

Some of my friends got the chance before me, but I get my 1st chance at 5th year!

When I was in second final ward placement in surgery, out BIRDEM Surgery Unit 1 asst.prof - Dr.Noor a alam (Jahir sir) askd if anyone is interested to take wash for an prolapsed iliostomy surgery!!

I and one of my friend was interested and later both of us assisted that operation with Jahir sir and Mahmud sir(he was our reg sir)!

It was my first time, I enjoyed a lot as I just love surgery! At that operation we did an resection anastomosis of small gut... But before starting the operation, our surgery departmental head Prof.Humayun Kabir Chowdhury came and explaind the operation plan!

Then the next two operation I assisted is at this month (feb 10); at the time of my surgery block posting!!

In block posting, I was in unit 2 of birdem surgery (Prof. Abdullah sir, Asst. Prof. Shomiron sir, Reg. Dr. Shabnam madam)!

One day at OT, there was a case of CA stomach and sir took plan for a total gastrectomy with roux en y oesophago jejunostomy! Just 2 days back, I studied this procedure with full of interest from ... . Abdullah sir asked us to explain the roux en y procedure with drawing diagragm! I did that, then he asked if I am interested to take wash for the operation! I was very happy and took the wash!

Roux en Y operation was a realy lengthy operation! Full BIRDEM Surgery unit 2 took part in this operation, Prof. Abdullah sir, Asst.prof. Shomiron sir, Reg. Dr. Shabnam madam , CA Dr. Tanvir and me(mainly for retraction and specialy to watch the operation clearly)!

It was an OT of 6 hours! What ever the length of the operation, as I have said I love surgery so I enjoyed a lot! And that operation was full of drama! Cause the spleen was enlarged and due to minor injury spleenectomy was done!

And the last ot I assisted is yesterday again with full unit 1 setup! This was rectal carcinoma and anterior resection was the operation! This operation make my interest much more than before for surgery!!

I am waiting for that day, when I will start assisting at cardiac surgery!! :-D

Now its 1 year!

Ya, now the duration has become 1 year for me as a blogger. I have started blogging in my mother language in prothom alo blog 1 year back, then i started at somewhere in blog, amarblog, opera blog... And from few months I am regular with my personal english and bangla blog at blogspot.

Real I feel a sharpe line of diffarance between the non blogger and community blogger. Community blog is real a great place for any positive move and personal blog also play a great role for these.

As I have noticed in one year, most of bloggers are logicaly strong and proffesionaly effective than others as they just don't have only a very limited knowledge rathe they have a broad spectrum thinking and knowledge.
Bloggers realy think logically to go with fellow bloggers thinking, and if think diffarently,then protest them at a same lavel playing ground with logical move......

What ever, due to my block posting in last year medical mbbs study i am passing realy a very busy time with my medical studies so get a very small time ... actualy dont get enough time for blogging.... Hope i will back properly at blogging after my final mbbs exam...

getting interest in nokia touch screens.....

from the very begining I didn't support nokia touch screens due to some causes. But now a days getting interest in nokia touch screens specially because of few interesting features... and planning to take any nokia touch phone as my next mobile device.

what are the points which draw my attention about nokia touch screens....

1. qwerty keyboard, as I like to blog from on the go & from cell phones qwerty is the best, even now I am typing from a qwerty device.

2. Nokia broad spectrum mobility and connectivity services - gprs, edge, 3g, wifi, easy sync from pc or from ovi contacts or easy bluetooth sync from any nokia mobile.

3. lots of softwares of both symbian and java coverage.

at last but not the least one software which I like most and specially which make me more crazzy about the nokia touch phones. its Scratch pad, a note taking software for nokia touch phones, its a really great software for taking note for busy people at any where specially important for students, businessman, journalists, doctors....
Now I am @ my 5th year MBBS study and passing a very busy time at hospital specially at word, if I have this kind of mobile services its very easy to take note directly to mobile by cell phones.... its really great :-)

I think in near future really many important thing will be replaced by new cell phones technologies......

Dual sim Dual standby mobile... :-)

Nokia has not introduced any dual sim dual standby mobile; rather this culture (feature) rather started by the non-brand Chinese mobiles.... but now some of the giants are following this as like samsung, LG, Philips, Acer... (all have come out with dual sim dual standby phone) but among them samsung Duos series is far ahead then others....

But there are lots of dual sim dual standby mobile in the market of south asia (India, Bangladesh,Pakistan)... these sets are cheap than the brand ones....

These phones were not much popular to every group of people, as most of these were only simple basic phone.... but things are changing.... now lots of new Chinese non-brand mobile comes with in build facebook feature, opera mini for browsing, Qwerty keypad, java support... even with some warranty services....

not bad for a very low price...

In Bangladesh Symphony, cellOne; in India Micromax, Karbon and many unpopular brand and non brand phones are available....

Planning to take a new Chinese Qwerty keypad mobile...... (hope for a normal day to day use beside Nokia N82,it will be useful)

Today 16 Dec is our victory day, at this day we won the war against Pakistanand get our own land Bangladesh in 1971.

Sad but true, still now we can not make the Justice of war criminals ofLiberation war in 1971 rather, by doing different type of politics they establish themselves in a better position!!

Sad but true, we still shout against those war criminals for the justice!!!

What ever, at least now a days we are watching a new flow of Respect for the countries in the young generation...... hope, this will lead to the Real Bangladesh for which our freedom fighters fought a 71.....

How to make partition at Hard disk using UBUNTU live CD!!

Its very easy to make or delete – more over maintaining partition from a UBUNTU live CD.

As the ubuntu is free (open source) so this procedure doesn't require any money.

What yo have to do:

insert an ubuntu live cd at your CD rom

restart your PC (if live CD doesn't start normally, please set CD/DVD as the first priority for Boot)

Live CD will run normally

Select ENGLISH as language first,

Select 'Try ubuntu without any change to Computer'

After few times our PC will be started with live ubuntu

go to terminal – (Application → Accessories → Terminal)

write ' gksudo gparted ' and give the access if needed

it will satrt Gparted and now you can easily maintain, change (size and type of partition).

AVRO keyboard for ubuntu and Linux mint!

Avro is Phonetic based most popular Bangla keyboard. At first, it was only for windows user, but now linux user can use it.

Ubuntu and mint users (32bit) can use AVRO!

Here is the procedure:

Avro (অভ্র) Settings for Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic koala) and Linux mint 8 (Helena):

Download a Debian package of avro scim from here

Double click the scim and install the package:

then go to terminal (to bring terminal press Alt+F2 and select the run in terminal)

write im-switch -c in box.

Then → Run.

Then this terminal box will come:

avro scim terminal

press 5 (scim) and enter.

Then log out and log in to see the effect.

Cntrl+Space will act as switching between the avro and English keyboard.

I was finding a portable Operating system for few days, at last I get slax!!!

Its a portable and small operating system for any PC (which can boot from removable drive)!!!

Its relay fast, even in slow PC. Its based on KDE, and by different modules one can increase the functions...

Language setup-

It has all the normal local language set up. I set Bangla and set Provat for my keyboard, working great.

To change fonts-

its very easy, just right click the font and click install! (You can set your favourate Unicode based font)

Web browser-

for web browser it has Firefox. (nothing to explain about Firefox...)

You can show magic very easily to people who do not know about this OS, you can even play any mkv (HD) files to a PC which windows doesn't have codec(require DivX player) to play those files with slax....

Even you can save DATA from a seriously virus infected PC without having any virus...

Now a days,due to development of cell phones and mobile internet, blogging become very easier.

Net books are becoming more and more popular than laptops, because, easy to carry and easy to use anywhere with a longer backup charge!!

And the smart phones as black berry, iphone, windows mobiles, android phones, symbian all are net specific... Even the java based phones due to opera mini is becoming more and more net friendly.....

Recently, mobile providers are making phones with quartary key pad more as these phones are not only phones for talk rather devices to connecting by phone call, sms, email, social networks, blogs ......

So, i think, next devices for blogging is cell phones....
Even now, nokia e series phones are great for blogging and n series as well.

I am making these blog from my N82...

Not only english, I can maintain my bangla blog from n82 using indisms software (a phonetic based bangla & local indian language unicode typing software for symbian phones).

Photo upload is easy...

As I can upload photo directly to photobucket from my phone and then take the html code to post at blog...

Life has become more fast....

So,many bloggers dont get enough time to spent infront of desktop rather home....
So, its easier to blog during a break frome smart phones....
And,people wana share any important matter soon at their blog,its easier due to these net based or net specific cell phones! :-)

So, I think, the next blogging friendly devices are the net specific cell phones.....

Irregularly regular - this term matches with my blog....

But, now change my position & have taken a decision to become regular with my blog!!

Hope, it will be a nice journey with my blog......

Actually pressure is increasing day by day!!!!
If everything is regular and fine then Im going to appear my final MBBS examination at JULY'10!

So, day by day the study pressure is increasing a lot..... And now a days profationalism is based on how much skill one have regarding there profation as well extra curricular activities!!

And, regarding my profation (physician), its the high time to gather more practical knowledge and skill!!

So passing a very important time and a tough time as well!!

Everyone knows about ubuntu... Its a open source operating system (linux distro)... Which is very popular at world now...

And avro is a Bangla (my mother language) writing software(unicode based). Avro is a very popular bangla writing software may be now the most popular bangla writing software & duo to phonetic writing it gets extreme popularity from everyone. From the begining avro was only for windows, there was no service for linux users... But,now,from yesterday, avro starts its journey at ubuntu (& at mint 7)...

Leaving windows!

It was 1995, when I first worked with pc, which was a dos pc, used 'word perfect' ! And specially for entering windows 3.1.1 I had to type win at dos.....

But very soon things have changed with the further edition of microsoft operating system 'windows'! windows 95 came very soon, it changes all the system of using pc, using dos system just become obsolated... And then one after one win 98, 2000, xp, vista, 7.....

About operating system i just knew about the windows...
But later on just heard a name linux....
Get interested in linux as its ubuntu is open source operating system....
Few days ago got the ubuntu 9.04 bootable cd & installed ubuntu...
Wow! As an os,its awesome, speed is great, even no tension for virus!!

And more over, left my pirated windows,as most of the windows in my country is pirated.....

Just become a great fan of open source and ubuntu!!

At last, Digital camera!

My film camera was replaced by my camera mobile at '05, since then, I am using my mobile camera for camera purpose, at first in comparison with unlimited mega pixel to vga resulation photo wasn't good enough, but later duo to the development of mobile camera it was acceptable, now I use Nokia N82 for my cell,internet and camera purpose, and really its true that it provide awesome photo as mobile camera.

But, now a days, my parents become very much eager for a digital camera as in absense of me they cant take hi resulation photo from their mobile cam.

My choice is canon! Lets see,which model is going to be our first digital camera! :-D

Birthplace & childhood dream

the sweetest memory for me is the childhood at my birthplace, Barisal Doctor Quarter, SBMC(Shere Bangla Medical College,Barisal).

I stayed there upto class 1, then shifted to Khulna as my parents were govt service holder.

after returning from my birth place I visited there only one time..... but now the place is not like before... actually the place is as like before but the the residents are changed... but still miss my childhood.....

the most interesting part of that time is playing lots a types of games... even few games were made by us :-p can not remember all of those.....

at that time a dreamed me as a pilot or a doctor...
and my dream is very near as now I am a 5th year medical student, hope by one year I shall become a doctor and have plan to take post-graduation at Surgery & to help everyone.....

On the way to my dream.... really feeling great....... :-)
